Christian-based international organization Compassion Kenya International released their FY 2022 results and the numbers indicate that they experienced a 10.76 per cent increase in income to Ksh 5.244 billion in 2022. However their expenses exceeded the income received having spent Ksh 5.60 billion as opposed FY 2021 where they spent 39.16 million less than the income received.
The largest portion of the income was spent on programs involving children. Compassion spent 88.7% or Ksh 4.66 billion on child funds. They then spent 3.94% (Ksh 206.62 million) of their income on health. The third biggest expenditure was on disaster funds which consumed 2.9% (Ksh 151.82 million) of their income.
