NGOs and lobby groups have vowed to join protesters today for the Gen Z protests popularly known as Nane Nane.
The National Coordination Provisional Coordination of the People’s Assemblies which GenZ activists lead has garnered the support of civil society groups planning the march today.
Activists such as Jerotich Seii, Boniface Mwangi head of Pawa 254 and Haki Africa’s Hussein Khalid among the notable civil society faces are expected to be there despite a severe government crackdown that includes abductions.
They have coined the movement as GenZote, which includes Kenyans from all generations.
Activist Kasmuel McOure has said that the Nane Nane protests will be the last day protesters will go to the streets. The goal is to force President Ruto to resign from office and cause the formation of another government.
The activists have warned police dressed in civilian clothing to keep off tomorrow’s protest.
