The Global Landscapes Forum, a non-profit that focuses on young people and empowering them to be influential leaders has announced a storytelling contest. GLF wants young Africans of ages 18-35 to participate in a storytelling contest where essays will explore solutions that will promote healthy landscapes, prospering communities and where justice prevails.
“We believe that storytelling has the power to ignite change, inspire action and connect people across borders. After an incredible storytelling contest last year featuring stories from every corner of the continent, the 2023 Africa Youth Storytelling Contest will provide a platform for your visions to reach a global stage,” says GLF.
The first three winners will be awarded 500 euros (Ksh 79,474), 300 euros (Ksh 47,684) and 200 euros (Ksh 31,791) respectively. Additionally, the next top 15 essays will also be acknowledged and highlighted on GLF’s website and social media platforms.
“The top 10 to 15 entries will be featured on our website and social media channels, as well as during GLF Nairobi 2023, reaching thousands of people gathered in person and online to forge a brighter future for the world’s landscapes,” writes GLF.
