They have made their mark and established themselves as a donor of choice and partners in the humanitarian sector. Through their consistent intervention in different areas such as drought, conflict, hunger, famine, funding agricultural innovations, civic education and so much more, they’ve proven their mettle and identity in Kenya.

- USAID’s funding areas include agricultural projects, emergency assistance during crises and disasters, environmental protection, and projects to strengthen the role of women and girls.
- They are headquartered in Washington DC, USA.
- Here in Kenya, they support vulnerable populations in ASAL areas by giving them cash injections, and food in exchange for work on productive community assets. The community projects aim at providing long-term solutions to the community therein. This could be addressing needs such as food security, irrigation systems, local roads, etc.
- They also provide hungry populations with therapeutic foods which are specially formulated to address malnutrition.
